EDGERED
Clarity for the mission. Confidence in the numbers.
WHEN THE BOOKS DON"T MAKE SENSE, WE FIND OUT WHY!
Ledgered helps churches, nonprofits, grant-funded organizations, and established businesses solve difficult accounting problems, reconstruct unreliable financial records, and build financial systems leadership can trust.

ABOUT LEDGERED
Sometimes an organization doesn't need another bookkeeper.
It needs someone who can figure out what went wrong.
Ledgered specializes in complex accounting cleanup, financial reconstruction, and accounting systems for churches, nonprofits, grant-funded organizations, and established businesses.
We step into accounting environments that have become complicated, outdated, disorganized, or unreliable. That may mean years of incorrectly categorized transactions, balance-sheet accounts that no longer make sense, an outdated accounting system, poorly structured fund accounting, unreconciled accounts, inconsistent financial processes, or reports leadership simply doesn't trust.
Our work goes beyond correcting transactions.
We identify what happened, reconstruct reliable financial records, redesign the accounting structure when necessary, and establish practical systems that help keep the books accurate going forward.
The goal isn't simply cleaner books. It's an accounting system you can trust.

THE LEDGERED METHOD
When you can't trust the numbers, start with T.R.U.S.T.

01
TRACE
We examine the accounting records, reconciliations, balance sheet, chart of accounts, financial reports, workflows, and underlying systems to identify where problems originated and determine the appropriate scope of work.
RECONSTRUCT
We correct, reconcile, and reconstruct financial information where necessary—including historical transactions, account balances, receivables, payables, payroll accounts, funds, grants, and other affected records.
02
03
UPGRADE
We restructure the accounting environment where necessary, including the chart of accounts, QuickBooks setup, fund and grant tracking, workflows, reporting structures, billing processes, and month-end procedures.
04
STANDARDIZE
We develop practical accounting procedures, internal controls, workflows, checklists, and training documentation so the organization isn't dependent upon knowledge living in one person's head.
05
TRANSITION
We train staff and leadership to use the improved system and understand their financial reports—or provide ongoing accounting oversight when continued support makes sense.
Trace it.
Reconstruct it.
Upgrade it.
Standardize it.
Transition it.
From financial disorder to numbers you can trust.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Jane Stoudt
FOUNDER | ACCOUNTING RECONSTRUCTION & SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
Some accounting professionals maintain systems. Jane Stoudt has spent much of her career rebuilding them.
Jane’s career in accounting began more than three decades ago, but a pattern quickly emerged: she often found herself walking into organizations where the accounting needed more than routine maintenance.
The books might be behind. The chart of accounts no longer reflected how the organization operated. Transactions had been misclassified for years. Financial records were scattered across spreadsheets, handwritten systems, or outdated software. Policies and procedures were missing. Leadership had reports but weren't always confident the numbers could be trusted.
Jane became the person who figured out what was happening and built something better.
Her experience has taken her across manufacturing, healthcare, municipal government, churches, nonprofits, and multi-location organizations.
At a manufacturing company operating on legacy DOS-based accounting software, Jane reconstructed the accounting environment in QuickBooks, working directly with QuickBooks to develop a system capable of supporting the company’s specialized manufacturing and per-unit costing needs.
At a multi-location nonprofit, she inherited an outdated accounting environment involving 15 checking accounts and donor information maintained through spreadsheets across 15 locations. She transitioned the organization to QuickBooks, streamlined its financial systems, developed policies, procedures, and training materials, taught board members how to interpret financial reports, and helped guide the organization through a state audit.
Other roles have required her to reconstruct multiple sets of books, correct years of miscategorized transactions, redesign charts of accounts, establish proper payroll accounting, reorganize accounts receivable and billing systems, improve fund and ministry accounting, and create financial policies and procedures where none previously existed.
Jane has also served in accounting and organizational leadership roles, including Accounting Manager, Finance Office Manager, church finance leadership, nonprofit finance leadership, and interim executive leadership.
That experience became the foundation for Ledgered.
Today, Jane specializes in the work she has been doing throughout her career: stepping into complicated accounting situations, determining what went wrong, reconstructing reliable financial information, and creating systems that organizations can confidently use going forward.
Her approach is practical and straightforward:
Understand the problem. Rebuild what isn’t working. Create a better system. Document it. Teach people how to use it.
Because clean books are important. But numbers you can trust are even more important.

“In my some 40 years in manufacturing and financial management, I can count no more than a handful of individuals whom I would readily solicit to work for me… Jane is chief among them.”

Recommendation written following Jane's tenure as Accounting Manager

Why Choose Us?
We go beyond the transaction.
Correcting transactions doesn't solve the problem if the underlying accounting system remains broken.
We know how to reconstruct.
When historical accounting information is unreliable, we work backward to determine what happened and rebuild from there.
We build systems people can actually use.
Accounting shouldn't depend on one person's memory. We create documented, repeatable processes.
We understand complex organizations.
Our experience spans businesses, churches, nonprofits, multi-location organizations, funds, grants and specialized accounting environments.
We don't create dependency.
When appropriate, we fix the accounting environment, document it, train your people and hand back a system they can maintain.
